Help TEF Dreamers Achieve their Dreams
through Meaningful Engagement!
"It's hard after graduation to find a job where I belong. I'm not cut out for college but I'm still looking for interesting things to do. The Extended Family is for people with autism who can't find a place in the world. I got promoted to Director of Inventory because I'm so great at organizing. The Extended Family provides a place where people with autism help others." -Joey, TEF Participant
Assistant Facilitators Creative Projects
The Extended Family provides meaningful engagement for adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Projects include designing appreciation gifts for essential workers to packing donations for local food pantries. Volunteers are needed to assist facilitators in overseeing participants as they create hand-decorated boxes, key rings, tote bags, and other gifts as well as weigh and pack dried ingredients for the food donations. These sessions take place both in-person and online.
